Antelope Canyon
When the sun reaches mid-day over Antelope Canyon, shades of orange fill the canyon walls. This image is looking up toward the sunlight. I love the rock shapes caused by flash floods rushing through the canyons. These turbulent waters create life-threatening conditions for hikers within the canyon walls.
While these canyons are a sacred part of American Navajo Indian culture, this cave was also used for a setting in the Planet of the Apes series.
Tech note: Shot on 35mm film, deep blacks and colors are produced on Fuji Velvia film.
